This element, compared to other components, has received less attention in discourse analysis theories and discussions. Unlike other elements such as language, power, ideology, etc., the discussion of actors in discourse has not been adequately addressed. Among discourse analysis theories, Van Leeuwen's theory, which falls within the realm of discourse analysis and social semiotics, focuses on actors, their actions, and their representation. This article aims to analyze Munif's novel "The Endings" based on this theory to uncover and examine the methods and techniques used in the work for the representation of actors. The novel "The Endings," which addresses the issue of drought in Saudi society and the interaction of social actors regarding this issue, is a subject worthy of investigation from various perspectives.
