Decentralization is a kind of mental ability that makes the child's mind free from paying attention to a certain phenomenon and settles on another phenomenon. This structure, which is an important pillar of children's literature, plays an important role in the cognitive development and flourishing of children's minds. Therefore, it lays the foundation for creative thinking and is the basis for the formation of children's identity and personality. The present study examines the techniques of decentralization in the collection "Yuhka anna" written by Amal Nasser, a young contemporary Lebanese writer and storyteller. This collection of stories includes thirteen short and educational stories for children and targets their mental realm with a childish expression. Throughout the stories in this collection, Amal Nasser, with her constant inventiveness, makes each new concept simple and understandable to the child through the use of metaphors. The aim of this qualitative research is to find the decentralizing deep structures used in this story collection and to identify the author's purpose in employing decentralizing techniques and the innovations that she displays in the stories with the help of these techniques. We have used an interpretive-abstract approach to answer the questions. The findings of this research show that Amal Nasser always uses decentralization techniques creatively. Sometimes, by using these decentralization techniques, she simplifies a complex concept to the level of children's understanding, and sometimes, by using these techniques, she makes children creative, searching and questioning. To achieve these goals, the author conveys the realities we face in society to the young reader through symbolic language. Also, this research showed that most of these techniques cause decentralization of the audience with some kind of movement in the narrative process, and the metamorphosis technique is one of the techniques that is most used in this collection of stories and causes
